Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the TaleSnack mobile application published by Small Signal Studio. By downloading, creating an account, or using TaleSnack, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. About TaleSnack
TaleSnack is a language-learning app built around a shared daily short story matched to your target language and CEFR level. The core loop is listen and read for roughly five to ten minutes, with optional comprehension check and vocabulary tools.
TaleSnack is an educational product, not a school, translator, or personal tutor. It does not guarantee fluency or exam results.
2. AI-assisted content and editorial review
Daily stories are drafted with generative AI and reviewed by our team before they ship. We do not claim that language experts wrote every line by hand. Story text may contain imperfections; you use the catalog as-is for practice.
Covers and, when enabled, audio may also use automated or third-party generation pipelines. See our Privacy Policy for how processing works.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use TaleSnack on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the App Store / Google Play terms that apply to your download.
4. Account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these Terms.
5. Subscriptions (TaleSnack Plus)
TaleSnack Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play (for example monthly or yearly). Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Restore purchases recovers prior store purchases on this device.
Plus promises are limited to what the app ships (for example unlimited archive access within product rules, archive audio and offline when available, and no ads). Pricing shown in the app may be localized by the store. Refunds are handled under Apple’s or Google’s policies.
6. Content ownership
The story catalog, covers, quizzes, and related editorial materials are owned by Small Signal Studio or its licensors. You may use them only inside TaleSnack for personal learning. You may not scrape, republish, or commercially redistribute the catalog.
Vocabulary notes and similar content you create remain yours; you grant us a limited license to store and display them to provide the service.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse APIs, automate bulk extraction of the catalog, or disrupt the service,
- attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent Plus, ads, or security beyond what law allows,
- use TaleSnack in a way that violates applicable law or store policies,
- misrepresent the origin of catalog content (including claiming exclusive human authorship).
8. Disclaimers and liability
The app and catalog are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Small Signal Studio is not liable for learning outcomes, temporary outages, ad or purchase issues handled by the stores, or decisions you make based on story content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms when permitted by law. We may suspend or stop offering features with or without notice.
