Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Saff mobile application published by Small Signal Studio. By downloading or using Saff, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. About Saff
Saff is a prayer companion. It provides informational prayer times, reminders, quiet tools for remembrance (such as Tesbih), Qibla, daily scripture moments, and optional Premium features.
Saff does not issue religious rulings and is not a substitute for a mosque timetable, qualified scholar, or müftülük. Worship-pause controls affect reminders only and are not a fiqh determination.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Saff on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the App Store / Google Play terms that apply to your download.
3. Subscriptions (Saff Premium)
Saff Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, with an optional one-time lifetime unlock. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If an introductory price is offered, it applies to the first month of the monthly plan, then the local list price. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Restore purchases recovers prior store purchases on this device.
Premium unlocks optional perks such as Makkah & Madinah-style adhan notification sounds and extra themes. Prayer times and notification reliability tools remain available without Premium. Silent Solidarity / city presence, when offered in a given release, also remains available without Premium.
Pricing shown in the app may be localized by the store. Refunds are handled under Apple’s or Google’s policies.
Premium is a normal paid membership product. It is not a donation, charity, sadaka, zakat, or nonprofit fund transfer.
4. Location & presence
Precise GPS is used on-device for prayer times and Qibla. If you use Silent Solidarity when available, a country-and-city code and related presence fields may be sent to provide a city count. You can decline location permission; some features will be limited. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Notifications
Delivery of adhan and other reminders depends on your device, OS version, battery optimizations, and system settings. Saff provides notification health tools to help you improve delivery, especially on aggressive Android OEMs, but does not guarantee every alert will fire.
6. Informational use & liability
Prayer times are calculated or profile-based estimates (and, where available, calculation-equivalent city profiles). Always verify with your local mosque when timing matters.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Small Signal Studio is not liable for missed prayers, incorrect times, failed notifications, or decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse presence or API features (including automated flooding of heartbeats),
- attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt our services beyond what law allows,
- use Saff in a way that violates applicable law or store policies.
8. Content
Qur’an and hadith text and any linked audio are provided for personal religious and educational use. Attribution for editions and sources is maintained in our project documentation. Third-party CDN terms may apply to streamed audio.
9. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms or the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms when permitted by law. We may suspend or stop offering features, including presence services, with or without notice.
